JONET
is an independant Network of the Alumni of St. Joseph's
Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tirupur. JONET
stands for Joseph Old Students Association, Tirupur.
We are very grateful and proud of our school, that
we stand tall for the skills it gave wherever we go
and whatever we do. We are delighted to say all the
great things about our school here to the general
public.

year History / From 1965... |

JMHS,
Tirupur has an impressive 50 year History. The school
was instituted in the year 1965 and foundation stone
was laid in Park Road, Tirupur as Primary School with
standards I to IV with 9 Teachers. When elders deputed
to start a girls high school, it was Mr. R.V. Venkatachala
Gounder an open handed personality donated 7 acres
of land at Kangeyam Road, for the building of higher
classes. The authorities received the land with thanks
and with thier heart of oak and ceasless work, acheived
to put up buildings for classes 6,7,8 standards.
New
School building at Kangayem Road was constructed in
2 years time and completed in 1970. Second Storey
was finished in 1972.
The School send its first batch of Students for the
Matriculation Examination conducted by the university
of Madras in the year 1974. It secured 100% result
adding feather to our cap bringing holycon days to
everyone.
The Strength deemingly increased to 2200 from 330
by 1978. Our school was upgraded as Higher secondary
School by Education Department of Tamilnadu in the
year 1978. The first batch of students appeared for
Higher Secondary Examoinations and came in Flying
colours. It was a landmark day in the history of our
school. From a Simple start to this till Towering
growth, the school enjoys palmy days. The institution
marches on a prime rose path with moral support of
many patrons of Tirupur City.
Now t he School has grown into a college and has fullfledged
facilities available in the school. JMHS has a reputation
all over the state for its education standards. Its
students shines in all fields of society and hence
an education in the school is a prized pride till
